Liu and her friend each paid 5,000 yuan on the spot, only to realize when they returned home that they might have been cheated.
The reporter introduced that a total of 10,000 yuan of things together, Ms. Liu told Shenzhen Satellite TV & One Shenzhen client reporter, because the money was not enough, there was a waiter with her to the home to take the rest of the 5,000 yuan.
After receiving the alarm, the police immediately launched investigation work. Police arrested 9 suspects in a rented house in Luohu District on May 6, breaking up a criminal gang that specialized in defrauding the elderly and seized a number of tools, including POS machines and "health care products", involving more than 10 million yuan.
"We found that every single product was faulty, and basically none of it was a drug." Deng Liguo, a police officer at Nantou Police Station of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, said the gang sold a total of 20 products.

The next step is to rent special venues to promote and sell "health products" and "therapeutic medicines" to the elderly, and to defraud the elderly by making up the efficacy of the products.
At the same time, in order to win the trust of the elderly, the fraud group also falsely claimed to hold large-scale feedback activities for the elderly users, inviting "authoritative doctors" to publicize health knowledge and provide free physical examination.
Later, the company deceived the elderly with false medical reports, exaggerated the elderly with glaucoma, cataract, hypertension and other diseases, and claimed that the company's health care products had "magic" folk remedies, so as to induce the elderly to buy health care products with no curative effect at a high price.
Deng Liguo told reporters that these so-called magical therapeutic effect of health care products, the product price is less than 100 yuan, "usually they will sell to about 5000-12000 yuan, so this is to fabricate facts, illegal possession for the purpose, is the standard fraud." Deng Liguo said.
At present, the case of 9 suspects have been detained by the police according to law, the case is still in further handling.
